Well, I spoke too soon. I got home last night from a nice weekend at my sister’s house in Houston and decided to check my checking account. Just wanted to make sure there was enough cash after spending some money in Houston. Lo and behold, I’m $400 overdrawn on the account. Those punks wrote a check out to Floyd to the tune of $800 for “yard work”. They were able to cash it because they had his driver’s license I guess.
I was right in the fact they weren’t able to find my one checkbook laying on my messy desk. But when they couldn’t find it there, they went through the drawers next to my desk where I keep all my misc. stuff and stole an ENTIRE CHECKBOOK I had yet to start using.
I talked to my bank and they immediately cancelled the account. They said it would all be sorted out and I’d get my money back. I sure hope so…
No, literally. Sometime this past week somebody came into our house and took a bunch of small stuff, including Alise’s purse (several hundred $$$, cell phone, credit cards), Rotha’s wallet, Floyd’s DL and credit cards, and checks from Floyd, Kam, and Brent. They must have come in more than once too because there wasn’t a single time when all that stuff was just laying around. None of my stuff got taken, I guess because my desk is a mess and I’m gone all day w/ my wallet. Punks. Whoever it was already had a field day and spent $1000 at CompUSA with Floyd’s credit card. ![]()
I’m baffled at how/when all that stuff got taken. Somebody must have been home when it happened, it’s very rare for all of us to be gone at one time. There’s like 7 people living here now.
I’m moving out in a week, but I’ll be sleeping w/ my machete on the nightstand until then.
Happy Birthday Denicia!!!
That was a disappointing game. Our defense could only give the offense so many chances to get back in the game. They just couldn’t get anything going. I wasn’t all that impressed with Colt McCoy (I missed him in the UNT game), but can’t blame him for the loss. He wasn’t the one fumbling on the goal line and dropping passes.
I almost didn’t even get to see the game! The ticket taker scanned my ticket and told me it was invalid. Me, knowing that I wasn’t trying to pull any shenanigans, started to make a scene insisting my ticket was valid. I got to speak to a manager who kindly pointed out that my ticket was for the Texas vs. UNT game. Doh! I was about to run back to the car and drive all the way home to print the right ticket until I remembered I e-mailed them to Todd. I ran to the closest dorm, logged into Todd’s webmail, and there they were. I even made it back before kickoff. Too bad we lost.
