Happy 4th of July!
Well I hope everyone had a good 4th of July. All of our friends had their own plans today so Denicia and I just grilled out over here. We made queso, chicken, corn, beans, and potato salad, way more food than two people could eat. Denicia knows how to regulate herself with that much food around but I am not so fortunate. The entire day my conscience (read: Denicia) kept telling me to stop eating. Now here I am at midnight, still not feeling well. Ah, but the food was so delicious! We were planning on watching all of the Austin fireworks shows on Todd’s roof like we did last year, but once the lighting started sitting on the roof of a 3-story condominium didn’t sound like the best idea. No fireworks this year, but it was still a good 4th.
A couple months ago I had big plans in mind for rewriting myDesktop Online and redesigning this website. As you can see though, the website hasn’t changed a bit and I’d be exaggerating to say I was even 10% done with the program rewrite. After sitting on a computer for 9 hours a day though, sitting on a computer at home is one of the last things I want to do. I’m now the stereotypical working man. I get home, crack open a beer, then sit on the couch and watch TV. Don’t get me wrong though, I love my job. I just need to find the energy to do more work after work. Maybe I should try going to a coffee house or something…
