Camping
What a fun weekend. We went camping out at Pace Bend Park for me and Bowers’ birthday. It started raining pretty hard when we first got there but cleared up pretty quick. I don’t feel like writing much so here’s a quick summary of the trip.
Fun things:
-BBQing (in the rain part of the time)
-Building campfires
-Beer (mmmm, beer)
-Taking the dog and watching her experience the outdoors for the first time
-Late night swimming in the lake (naked!)
Tearing down trees for firewood with just a pocketknife
Things I could have done without:
-Breaking that thorn off in my foot
-Picking up the wrong end of a stick that had just been in the fire
-Setting our tent up in the sun, then waking up the next morning inside what felt like an oven
It was a blast. I definitely want to go again most likely when Justin gets back from New Mexico. I got some cool stuff for my B-Day too. Denicia bought me a tent for the trip as well as a huge machete, Kam and Amanda bought me a hat/wallet (very cool), and Bowers/Alise bought be a beard trimmer (which I have yet to receive, but they swear exists
