The eyes of Texas are upon you

I should be studying right now. Well, I really should be sleeping, but there’s no time for that, I’ve got a test tomorrow! I’ve also got a big homework set due tomorrow but I just finished that up. Things are pretty stressful now, but I’ve got a good weekend to look forward to: China Harbor tomorrow after work, last home football game on Saturday, and hopefully lots of relaxing on Sunday.

On a side note,
UT Sports Dominance
#2 - Football
#1 - Baseball
#3 - Basketball

There has never been a school so dominant at the 3 major sports at one time. I’m proud that I go to Texas.

Not much really went down this weekend. Played some poker Friday night, stayed in last night, and then watched football and studied all day today. I was really bored last night and was extremely close to re-activating my World of Warcraft account. I’m really glad I didn’t. If you aren’t familiar with the world of online gaming, WoW is basically just a time-sink. You pay the game company a monthly fee to play on their servers, and you get nothing tangible in return. I’ll admit, I really enjoyed playing when I didn’t have anything to do last winter break, but it would have been a big mistake to get sucked back into that world mid-semester. Instead, I spent the night working on the next version of myDesktop Online, which I’m hoping to roll out within a week or two. I really don’t get anything tangible from working on free programs either, but I do get the satisfaction of knowing that people out there use what I develop. Maggie is giving me the “Can we go to sleep already?” look, so I’m out.

It’s that time again

I registered early this morning, and it turns out the University is smarter that I thought. I only need 13 hours to graduate and have nearly all of my CS requirements finished, so I just needed to fill my schedule with junk. I figured that I’d take a load off this last semester, so I registered for two of the easiest classes I could find: M302 – Introduction to Mathematics, and MKT320 – Foundations of Marketing. The system let me register for both, but proceeded to tell me I wouldn’t be given any credit for the math class because I’d taken too many upper-division math classes already. Whatever, I didn’t want to learn high-school algebra again anyways. I guess other people had tried the same shenanigans before. Anyways, here’s my schedule for next semester:
