Since I put my old laptop up for sale last night, I’ve received e-mails from several interested people and one from a person that I’ll likely sell it to. Not to my surprise though, two of the people that e-mailed me were trying to pull a money-order scam on me. I’ve receieved my fair share of e-mails from Nigerian Princes trying to share their wealth with me, so the scam e-mails are pretty easy to spot. Both of these people offered to pay me MORE than what I was asking, if I’d be willing to accept a money order and ship the laptop out pronto. Wow! What a deal! Here is some of my correspondence with the first guy. His e-mails are in BLUE, and mine are in RED .

LAPTOP FOR SALE!

Not to much going on lately, just a couple tests this past week and one more coming up on Monday. This weekend is the UT/Tech game, which is probably the biggest hurdle left in our journey to the Rose Bowl. Justin has some old Tech friends coming in town so we should have a pretty entertaining weekend.

I’ve decided to go as an inmate for Halloween this year, to complement Denicia’s scandalous police officer costume. Ebay is the only place I’ve looked so far, I just haven’t been successful in winning any of the auctions for under $25. Hopefully I’ll have better luck tomorrow. In the meantime, I did win a new pair of kicks.

It’s really nice to finally be able to sit down and not worry about what I have due tomorrow. I do have two tests next week, but those shouldn’t be too bad. I received an e-mail today reminding me that registration for Spring semester is right around the corner. What the hell? Didn’t I just register for the semester I’m in now? I feel like I’m perpetually registering. I guess it’s kind of like how I feel like I have a dentist appointment every time I go back home to Dallas, but I really only go twice a year. Well, whatever, fine. I’ll start finding whatever classes start late in the day and fulfill my remaining degree requirements. Then it hit me. I’m going to be registering for my LAST semester here at UT. I think I’ll start writing a retrospect of my college experience.

I also found out that because I’m graduating in four years and with almost exactly the right number of hours, I’m entitled to a $1000 state grant, no strings attached. I’ll probably end up giving it to my parents as a thank you for all that they’ve done for me the past four years, though it pales in comparison to how much money they’ve invested.

Oh yeah, we’re having a Halloween party at our place, COSTUME REQUIRED. I think I’ll even put a pirate suit on Maggie or something, we’ll see…

Well, I survived my test today. I think I did pretty well actually. No rest for the weary though; as soon as I got back from my test tonight I had to work on a program and homework I have due tomorrow. I have a big homework set due on Thursday as well, but once I turn that in my two weeks of hell are over.

Halloween is right around the corner, and I really like Halloween. The dog is snoring really loudly, which reminds me that I should probably get some sleep. My thoughts are as fragmentented as my sentences…
